Install Nokia Bluetooth

Nokia makes a variety of Bluetooth-capable cell phones as well as several Bluetooth headsets. Once paired together, a Bluetooth headset can allow the user to make and receive calls hands-free on her mobile phone. Installing a Nokia headset onto a phone or connecting a Bluetooth headset to your Nokia phone can be done in only a few minutes.

Difficulty:
Moderately Easy

Instructions

    • 1
Power on your headset or other Bluetooth-capable device and place it near your mobile phone. In the case of headsets, you will often have to put them in pairing mode. The pairing mode on a headset can be activated by pressing and holding down the power button on the headset for 8 seconds. Once you release the power button, the light on the back of the headset will remain on, indicating it is in pairing mode.
    • 2
Press the "Menu" button on your Nokia mobile phone and select "Settings" from the available options.
    • 3
From the settings menu, select "Bluetooth" from the options available and then "Find a New Device."
    • 4
Select the device you would like to connect to your Nokia mobile phone from the list of devices that appear. Your phone will list all of the Bluetooth-capable devices currently available around it.
    • 5
Enter the passkey for your headset or device into your mobile phone. The passkey is a series of numbers that will either be printed on a sticker on the back of the device or on its instruction book. The default passkey for many headsets is 0000.
    • 6
Start using your device with your mobile phone. The two will now be permanently paired, with no need to repeat the installation process.
