RIM headed for an active 2011

It always seems to work out like this. Yesterday, not long before we were set to run BlackBerry News From The Wire, Boy Genius Report published information about two new BlackBerry devices. The timing couldn’t have been any better — it would have been a pretty boring week without the Dakota and the new Curve. Of course, not long after I hit the publish button BGR, and then IntoMobile, gave us information on even more upcoming BlackBerry models. It leaves us with a pretty good idea of what to expect from RIM in 2011.
That’s the Torch 2, and it appears as though RIM will shore up a number of concerns that people had with the first one. I remember something of a lag issue, but with a 1.2GHz processor that should no longer be an issue. Yes, this is RIM, which has nary a processor at even 800MHz, pumping out a 1.2GHz model. I guess they’re taking seriously the idea that people want faster devices. It has 8GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM, 640×480 resolution touchscreen, and more.
